Lights are the part we sell most of, because they are the first thing to break in a car park knock and the last thing anybody wants to buy new. They are also the part most often ordered wrongly, for two reasons worth knowing before you buy.

Left and right are different parts
A headlight is handed. The mountings, the plug position and the beam pattern are all mirrored, so a nearside unit will not go on the offside however hard you push it. On a right-hand-drive van the nearside is the kerb side, which is also the one that gets hit most.
Tell us which side you need in plain words — kerb side or driver's side — and we will not get it wrong.
Facelift and pre-facelift: exactly why we ask for the registration
All four of the vans we stock were facelifted during their production run, and the lights changed with the front panel each time. The Sprinter, Master, Movano and NV400 each have a year where a headlight from before it simply does not fit after it, even though the badge on the front is identical.
The lamp technology changed too: halogen, projector and LED units appeared on the same model in different years and trims, and the wiring behind them is not the same.
That is what the registration settles in seconds. It gives us the build date and the trim, so we pull the right unit off the shelf first time instead of you making two trips.
What condition means on a lamp
We tell you about the tabs and the lens before you buy, because those are what fail: a broken mounting tab or a milky lens is the difference between a usable light and a wasted journey.
Lights are small enough to collect in Kettering the same day, or we can fit them here — your choice. If a part we sell turns out to be faulty, we replace it. With four to six donor vans in at a time, the exact unit you need can come and go quickly.
