A wing mirror is the classic case for buying used. New, it is a surprisingly expensive assembly for what it is; on a working van of ten years old the new price is out of all proportion to what the van itself is worth.

Three versions of the same mirror
On one model and one year you will find manual mirrors, electrically adjusted mirrors and heated mirrors, and the plug behind them has a different number of pins in each case. Fit an electric mirror where a manual one was and there is nothing to plug it into; fit a manual one where an electric was and you lose the adjustment from the cab.
Some are heated as well as electric, some are electric only, and a few have an indicator repeater built into the housing — a fourth variation on the same arm.
Why the registration is the shortcut
The registration tells us the trim level and the build year, and trim is what decided whether the van left the factory with heated glass. That is not something you can read off the mirror from the outside, and it is the single most common reason a mirror ordered online does not work when it arrives.
Handing matters here too: nearside and offside housings are mirrored, and on these vans the nearside often carries an extra lower wide-angle glass that the driver's side does not have.
Small, cheap and quick
Mirrors are the easiest thing on the shelf to deal with. They are light, they fit in a car, and collection from Kettering is normally the same day we confirm we have yours. If you would rather not fiddle with door cards and connectors, we will fit it here instead — the choice is yours.
